Why carbon at seaRepresentative

Three loads, one written answer to each. The figures are representative of the process, not measured on a delivered part.

Salt

Sealed laminates and stainless interfaces specified for the marine environment, so nothing wicks and nothing corrodes at the joint.

Sun

A clear-coat protocol measured in microns, UV-stable, in gloss or satin.

Vibration

High-temperature tooling and written cure profiles, so the part that passed inspection is the part that goes to sea.

The path of an order

A bespoke piece starts as a drawing, a sketch or a question, and leaves as a part with its record. The catalogue starts one step later, at the drawing that already exists.

From the sketch to the deck.

  1. 1The sketch

The owner, the designer or the yard sends the drawing, the sketch or the question. A photograph of the deck is enough to start.

  2. 2Design

Geometry, laminate and fittings resolved against the vessel and its sockets. The drawing is agreed before any tooling is cut.

  3. 3Production

Tooling, lay-up, cure on a written profile, clear coat to the protocol, every step logged as it happens.

  4. 4Delivery and installation

The part reaches the yard or the boat with its socket standard, installed on the deck or handed over with the drawing.

Every part ships with its record.
